This three-story building was originally designed as an H-shaped office building with a private inner courtyard. Today, it consists of 28 residential units and retail at street level. The building underwent a redesign of the interior areas and the addition of an elevator while carefully preserving the building’s original details.

The building exemplifies the Bauhaus’ ideal of “form follows function”. Therefore, there are no decorative motifs as they do not serve its residents. Instead, the building’s visual value is created by simplicity, horizontal lines, and combining volumetric geometric shapes that make a three-dimensional game of light and shadow. Moreover, because the building was originally an office building, many balconies were created to allow office workers to ‘take a breather’ and break on these protruding outdoor areas.
